Hi there, hoping someone can help. I've been listing items again recently and see things have changed a little from a couple or so years ago but seem to have changed again in the last week maybe? It seems to have been made more awkward to list things exactly how you'd like to and to use your preferred postage method.
In the run up to Christmas, postage seemed to automatically set to evri when I prefer RM 48. It was quite simple to change though so ok no worries. Today though I have tried to list a couple of items and it's not letting me change the type of parcel at all. I found a setting to add weight and dimension but this is not effecting any change to the actual postage cost and type. I'm trying to list a couple of old XBox limited edition box set games and the postage remained resolutely stuck on a large letter size at £2.70 buyer pays £3.50? It needs to be a small parcel at £3.39 (last time I used it, I think) I don't buy special materials, try to recycle packaging from my own deliveries where possible and the post office is a two minute walk up the road so no biggie. I'm looking to declutter and recoup some spends, not make profits
BUT I digress ... sorry ... could anyone tell me how to navigate this new "simpler" listing especially with regards to postage as I've found just generating a code through ebay very simple these last few times as I could change the parcel size (it used to be boxes with examples like "padded envelope" "shoe box" "cabin Luggage" etc for size with the appropriate weight was a set cost)
I have tried changing category thinking it may be down to the fact it selected video game as category so changed it to accessories to allow for extra depth of box (one includes a microphone and t shirt, the other is a drawing tablet and game so both are defo more than 2.5 cm . Also one of the games has a value of £65 + so a large letter is only insured up to £20 I believe. I use tracked and insured to cover the value should something go awry
