Evri item drop off but overweight help

Hi,  I dropped the item off at parcel shop and it is checked tracking and said it overweight. I went back to parcel shop took some of the weight out and put in separate parcel (paid additionally deliver) so should came under the weight and now I waiting see if it gets picked up. Anyone else had similar experience and how did it work out for them? Just worried the item wont get sent. The parcel shop i dropped it off at are awesome so I know it not a issue with them.

So the advice is as long as the suggested label is used it will be ok even if slightly over weight.

The parcel shop should have just taken it without issue.

This is ebays deal with evri and royal mail, and now dhl have been added.

So you now have 2 packages for 1 order that may cause issues later if they get separated in the delivery process, especially if it the package without a tracking number automatically added on ebay.

Simple deliver it is all automatic, get confirmed as it get scanned at the drop off point so now you have a second one that has no link to anywhere.

If that makes sense.

I have got the tracking number for the other parcel I paid for and I not worried about that since it insured for what I paid for it if it goes missing. What I worried about is the parcel marked as overweight that still hasn't gone which is the one using simple delivery

But ebay don't have that tracking they do for one but not the other,

over weight should not be an issue a ebays own advice is to send with the label already issued, so according to ebay if they suggest a large letter and issue a large letter label and your sending a parcel you are fine to us the label same for weight, they suggested the label and will only protect you if you use that label,

It's crazy but that is the advice i can try and find the page for you if you like . but that is the advice.

You can use the label provided even if the item is heavier than estimated provided it is within the carrier's overall weight limit — 15kg for Evri, 20kg for Royal Mail.  So 17kg is too heavy for Evri.

It's OK if the label covers 5kg and it's actually 7kg for instance but if it's over the weights above you are in trouble.

Following the action you've taken you'll only have a problem if the second parcel doesn't arrive or gets damaged en route.

You can NOW (it's very recently been added) use DHL for up to 30kg if you choose "Bulky Parcel" when listing.

First time you've mentioned that advice would have change if I'd known that.
