Delivery Courier Service Level Choice

Due to the frustrating restrictions of Simple Delivery. I wish to choose the Postage Level with Royal Mail, i.e. 24hr Tracking. (the item is fragile, so I don't want it hanging about sorting dept etc longer than necessary) !

'Simple Delivery', restrictions choose the weight and size for me, and the price, which I hope is correct, however it does not allow me to choose the Postage Level with Royal Mail. The £6.65 it has estimated would cover 24hr Tracking, however until I make the sale and print the label, I have no way of knowing. From experience, I think it would not be this service!

I would appreciate your help and advice on how to choose the Service Level, or to confirm my feeling it is impossible.

Re: Delivery Courier Service Level Choice

I'm not sure what you mean by Postage Level but buyers do get an express option.  Most choose the cheaper second class/48 hours option.   As long as you pack your item very well in a suitably strong box it won't matter how it's treated.

You can opt out of using Evri etc. here:

Re: Delivery Courier Service Level Choice

With Simple Delivery you generally don’t get to choose the exact Royal Mail service level yourself. The system selects the service based on the size and weight category you choose, so the price you see is usually an estimate for that category rather than a specific service like Tracked 24.

Because of that, you often won’t know the exact service until the label is generated after the sale. If you need full control over the service level, the only real option is usually to switch away from Simple Delivery and use your own postage settings.
