On my last few purchases over the weekend I chose to opt for click and collect. Considering I drop off parcels almost every day it would make sense for me to pick up parcels at the same time, rather than wait at home or have someone wait in for me. Its a little cheaper, and I thought that will make a big difference in the long run.
What I didnt realise, is choosing this option means the item isnt ready to collect until two weeks later! What on earth? It makes 0 sense to me, surely the courier visits the shop every day to pick up and drop off. Surely they should incentivise using this service considering it saves them having to drive to your house.
Not receiving items until two weeks later makes the entire process completely pointless from my pov. Its really stitched me up as I expected a normal delivery time and to be selling these items asap. Orders I placed on the 25th of October are being delivered on the 7th of November! So if you werent aware of this, here is your warning! I do admit fault for not seeing the delivery time changes, but come on, who would expect that! And WHY!? Ebay really need to step up their delivery game when almost every other website out there is delivering in 48 hours tops, if not next day.
