Bad Royal Mail Service

Anyone else having issues with the Royal Mail not delivering to flats not on the ground floor ?

My last two deliveries have been dumped on the communal stairs at the entrance and one of my neighbours  had the same thing happen to them.

As their prices have soared their service has gotten a lot worse.

I don't have this problem with Evri or Yodel.

Leaving items in an unsafe place is against Royal Mail's policy. If it were me, I would have a word with my Postie. Or if you prefer, call RM Customer Service or use their website to complain. Please try to be patient when speaking with delivery drivers, their jobs come with a lot of pressure to meet timelines and targets.

I have complained to RM customer services who said they have spoken to the delivery office after the first time it was left in the communal area.

I am expecting another package today and if the same thing happens then I'm going to complain to OFCOM.

I want sellers to know how bad RM are with their customers parcels because  sooner or later someone will open a  case with Ebay and it could cost them.

Until the package has been delivered to the address on the label it is the sellers responsibility.

Please if you are a seller and your customers are having problems with RM consider using another delivery company.

The package I was expecting yesterday didn't arrive (surprise surprise).

Tracking changed at 1414hrs to say they would redeliver today?

I was  in so why wasn't it delivered?

It turned up today and was dumped outside my front door (it is a special door, it has a big brass knocker on it to let the person inside know someone is there) the  delivery person obviously too lazy to knock!

I'm going to be checking who sellers are going to be using for delivery before I buy from now on and will look elsewhere if they are using Royal Mail.

I finally caught up with him this morning and he said the main door wouldn't open and we have  been having problems with it but the security phone to my flat still works and he could have used it and let me know he  was here so I could go let him in.

He is under instruction to use the security phone until the door mechanism is sorted.

He had been putting the mail through the main door letterbox so a neighbour must have been putting the mail on the stairs.
