Hello people some one has found the opt out for SD on listing page go down to eBay new Sd click advanced settings and there will be a pop up. Click custom postage another pop up click on then all are couriers will be there as they were before this all started

And if they are not still valid for postage then you can opt out of SD providing, when they are
£10 item price and under,
letter or large letter sized,
100g and under,

They are valid. They are brand new books of stamps.
I do occasional monitoring work for a postal company - I get paid in stamps and vouchers. Regardless of the category I choose, Simple Delivery seems to override any shipping option I set.
Changing the category to business office and industrial - packing and shipping - other shipping overrides simple delivery. Whether they'll get any views is another matter entirely!

Thank you. They are a bulk quantity of books of stamps. I've a buyer who watches my listings, he's bought from me via ebay a few times before. Hopefully he'll pick up my listing.

I don't buy off anyone whose only option is Evri.
Pets at Home slipped through the net last weekend because they don't name the courier in checkout. Delivery arrived over the course of three days, three smashed up boxed and the fourth one was so badly damaged they elected not to bother delivering it at all.
I mean, one of the boxes was delivered a day late because it required a "specialist courier owing to the size" - a 2kg parcel 50x40x30cm containing a plastic cat litter tray 🤣 You really couldn't make this stuff up - probably wouldn't fit in the boot of his Corsa.

You can list in any category using this method:

There is a risk you won't get the refund - so I would have too many refunds outstanding at once.
Or you could use the Oversized parcel method often mentioned on this forum. Clearly a packet of stamps is unlikely to be oversized. I've no idea if ebay would ever want to "discuss" you using it.

Simple delivery covers up to £750, assuming adequately packed.
"You'll be protected if the item is lost or damaged from the point the item is scanned into the carrier's delivery network and until it's marked as delivered"
If you continue to receive many Evri labels after deselecting them in your preferences I suggest you talk to customer services as to why that is. If they can't solve it, perhaps post a new thread on here with title - "I've deselected Evri from SD preferences but 4 of my last sales have give Evri labels" and hope that an ebay rep takes a look for you.

Sending new and unused postage stamps is akin to sending money or jewellery.
I have a nasty suspicious mind so I'm guessing that somewhere buried deep in the "terms and conditions"...........
19-07-2025 8:38 PM
? I've already told you they are prohibited from SD.
It's not buried https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575#se...

If you don’t want to risk your items being damaged with evri do the workaround that’s been posted over the forum many a time
list at 800£
Chose large parcel
then reduce the price

I saw that and acknowledged it, thank you. But allowed or not, SD is the only option offered if you list them in the stamps category.
19-07-2025 8:49 PM
Thank you. Hi can you do this with an already active listing?

This set up means it's not worth while trying to sell small items. It's too expensive for the buyers. So disappointing. I haven't managed to find the opt out yet but will keep trying.

Because eBay are not functioning properly in this area at the moment (teething problems it’s called) ie although they say small items under a tenner and under 100g that fit in an envelope can go with your own postage they are very patchy and glitchy about what the system allows people to do
so use the above workaround exactly and leave your parcel choice at large
You can charge anything for the postage and tick any postage service (even if it’s not technically right) then buy your postage outside eBay or use stamps
unsure how you mark despatched though maybe someone else will fill in or amend what I got wrong
You never know though ebay might have it all fixed tomorrow

After putting in 800£ you have to chose large or extra large parcel
ebay can’t change that I’m 99% sure
even if you change category or price because if your parcel is large you can’t flipping cut it down
can you confirm please that once large is chosen that’s custom delivery set
when is eBay going to sort this ridiculousness out
ebay is not allowing large parcels to be listed and it’s being going on for at least a month

Yes, it should be set.
amazonharvey has been told several times to follow the workaround exactly but it is obvious from the above that he is missing bits out!
"Tried a members listing put up to £800 gave me my courier brill I thought
went in to lower price and that all changed back to SD"
That says to me that he is not understanding that he must follow all the steps.
