Having received the goods, if you don't refund through the case eBay will enforce the refund and that would damage your account.

Unlesss your buyer uploaded the tracking number for the Amazon Shipping UK label eBay will not be aware of the successful return and will consequently not issue an automated message along the lines of "return completed, refund now".

If you are happy with the condition of the returned item then go ahead and refund, which eBay will see and you are therefore fully covered, with all actions of the transaction complete.
