refund a buyer

Hi 

   i sold something for £50 the buyer wanted a refund, ebay took  £3.40 for return postage leaving me short to pay the buyer back , ebay has my bank details and i thought  they would deduct that from my bank, but no i just keeps saying refund did not process ive been trying to resolve this situation for the past 3 hours, can anyone shed light on it please.

No idea, but

-let the buyer know you are trying to refund but ebay cannot process it, if you haven't already.

-is this you voluntarily refunding? Maybe after the three days or whatever time you have has expired, the buyer can escalate it and ebay might force the refund taking it from your bank. I don't know - I'm just guessing.

If neither happens, sounds like ebay doesn't like your bank account for some reason.

You can try discussing with customer services.
