I must condemn the new ebay payout system especially for the smaller Sellers. Clearly Ebay do not want small sellers and this is one way of getting rid of them. Sellers payouts are prolonged for much longer whilst the buyers of their sales are enjoying their purchases promptly, the sellers are left waiting for their payout. Totally unfair to Sellers. Ebay only have to check the review a seller receives from the buyer to find out a positive review has been left and obviously the item has been delivered to the Buyer, but yet Ebay still impose a much longer waiting time to payout the Seller. If Ebay are wondering why so many Sellers are leaving their platform to use another much fairer selling platform to small Sellers, the reason is simple, they no longer have trust in Ebay to look after Sellers and given that many Sellers, myself included with 18 yrs commitment to Ebay, this is quite simply shocking. Ebay were happy to take our selling commitment for many years and Ebay consequently deserve the slump in their Seller customer numbers, of which I will be another one soon.

You could upgrade to a business account. Properly registered business sellers are not subject to the new payment holds.

Do I need a business account?

If you plan to sell casually, such as selling items you no longer want, a private account is the best option.

If you want to sell large quantities, if you have items that you've made or bought to resell or if you already have a business outside of eBay, you’ll need to register a business account.
