Repay refunded sum

I bought an item quite but never mind. A month later, it hadn't arrived. I asked the seller what was happening, they didn't reply. I got eBay involved and they decided in my favour and I got a refund and the case was closed.

Now the item has turned up in the post (six week after being posted) and I want to pay. The seller says I must go through eBay, but the case has been closed and I cannot reopen it. What should I do?

First sentence should read "I bought an item quite inexpensive but never mind."

The seller is wrong, there is no way to make a payment now through ebay.  If you want to pay them it has to be done outside of ebay.

If they give you their e-mail address, you can refund through Paypal, choosing friends/ family or similar, not for goods.
