Payment policy

I am a private seller (and buyer) of items I no longer use or wear - generally low value. I've been a seller for 15 years and have 100% positive feedback. I send all my items tracked recorded and insured. It’s easy to show they have been delivered as evidenced by the couriers records. However eBay’s site does not align and hence items are recorded as not delivered by ebay when in fact the couriers sites show they have been delivered.

Ebay are “happy” to amend their record manually so funds can be released but it requires you the seller to spend a long time on the phone whilst this is done. For the last 3 weeks I have spent every Sunday morning doing just that as some 45 items (total value about £630) have been delivered but the ebay site says they are not yet delivered. The ebay staff have been helpful but weary as they must be doing this all the time! They check and confirm the items have all been delivered some 3-4 days previously and so then release my funds. If I did not do this I'd have to wait some 14 plus days (on top of the 5-7 days spent packing and then sending the item and time for the courier to deliver) so on average between 20-25 days of ebay holding payments for goods I've sold that should be in my bank account NOT theirs!  And of course I've had to fund the postage up front from my own pocket.

The Whole scheme is disrespectful and treats sellers badly. I’ve stopped selling and I’m also not buying. I’ve made 3 formal complaints to eBay but this has no effect.
I have Better things to do with my time, so I am sorry to all the 190 plus buyers who have me on the favorite list but I am no longer selling on ebay if they don't amend this very unfair policy.
