Payment on hold for new seller

I have done my first sales,

(buyer paid on 28 June, the item is successfully shipped on 10 July), but what really confused me is the payment date is schedule on 28 July.

I have checked the reason for it and they said,

"It looks like you changed your banking information recently. When this happens, we put your payouts on hold while we verify the changes were made by you. This is a security measure to make sure your account is safe.

Once verified, funds are typically made available within 48 hours. If we suspect unauthorised account activity, we'll let you know and continue to hold your funds." But the change of banking info is confirmed at 2 July.

Anyone could please advise me on how to get the payments earlier or explain why do I need to wait for a month for the payment? much appreciated!

Payment on hold for new seller

Payments are placed on hold for a security measure both for your account and for your buyer.

If you are a new seller,  eBay have none of your selling history,  so they need to see that a paid for item,  will be shipped and delivered to the buyer.  If you have tracking showing delivery,  this will speed up that payout, and it is sent to your bank usually within a few days.

This has to be in place otherwise anyone could come on eBay sell expensive items,  take the money and not post out the item.  Once you are established as a good seller posting out items promptly,  this hold stops,  and you can select a daily or weekly payout from your sales.

If you are a returning seller,  that is,  you have returned to sell after a little break,  then sudden selling activity raises red flags to eBay as some dormant accounts can be hijacked,  so eBay wish to see that the genuine seller has returned.

Here again,  tracking showing delivery will release the money sooner,  as eBay as happy the genuine seller has returned to their account to sell again.

Payment on hold for new seller

Not applicable

Hi, I have a new account and have made a couple of sales, 4 actually. I have just been paid for 2 items and 2 are still on hold. It states that, money will be available 24 hours after delivery is made. Now, on a tracked item, that's fine as it will be recorded as delivered, but on an untracked item, sent by standard 2nd class large post, how do eBay determine when that item has been delivered, espicially if the buyer does not leave feedback. The 2 items that I have received money for, the buyer had left feedback!
