Payment On Hold

Hi guys, 

hope someone can help, I’ve recently sold something on eBay and have just received my funds but the payment was on hold as I needed to update my bank details so I’ve added a new account and it’s now saying I have to wait 48h as a security precaution is anybody able to help me out in regards to when I will be able to withdraw as I can’t seem to get help anywhere.

No one can tell you the length of time eBay place for security holds for ...... security reasons.

It can be 48 hours,  it can be a little longer to verify your details,  but as a new seller your payouts can be held for 30 days.

Hi con-7007, thanks for your post.

It is normal for the funds to be placed on hold after updating your bank details, after the 48 hours you will be able to withdraw the funds into your bank account. Just to give you more reassurance, the funds will remain there and the buyer is not able to reverse them to get the funds back, so you are all good. If you click here, you can see our policy for held payments. If you are a new or an infrequent seller, further holds may apply.
