I listed an item for sale but it appears with Klarna as a payment option, which I never included. How do I change this as I can't see anywhere to do so? For now I have stated in a revised listing, in capitals, that I don't accept this method of payment, but that I do accept Paypal - which hasn't appeared! What's going on Ebay?

The methods the buyer can use to pay are nothing to do with the seller as the buyer pays ebay and ebay pays the seller.
Not all payment options appear on all listings.

If a buyer uses Klarna and then doesn’t meet the payments, that is their issue with Klarna, it doesn’t affect you whatsoever. You won’t be paid in instalments through eBay because the buyer used Klarna, you get the funds in full. I could pay for that item now with PayPal Credit, same difference and you wouldn’t care what my payment method was.

Now PayPal is showing. I give up I may start selling elsewhere as I am not happy having Klarna on my listing. Ebay is going the same way as Amazon and I left them years ago. Why mess with a winning formula you just alienate people grrrr!

Klarna seems to appear on electronic items. Unless you’re taking a moral stand against use of credit or thought that it means you get paid in instalments, I don’t understand why you would be bothered.

You can't remove it as the method the buyer chooses to pay you by is nothing to do with you. It is between the buyer and eBay and has absolutely no effect on the payment to you.
Also, Klarna is pretty much identical to PayPal.

Thanks guys for explanation, I just never had Klarna come up on my listings before, wish we had an opt out. Not happy with a lot of recent changes. :0(

Never worry about the different payment methods showing on your listing, actually, the more the better, as it gives more choice of payment methods for your buyers.
You will never know by which payment option your buyer chooses, and it matters not, just matters that they pay! 🤗
