Ebay keeping money because of typing error with new address

When we moved house we let Ebay know of our change of address for each of us and by mistake my partner put a wrong digit in his bank account number and didn't realise until afterwards and tried to rectify it via ebay ,but they closed his account ,told him it was in both parties interest that they part ways ,they even kept his money that was in his account £26 .Not alot perhaps but it is to some and it was his money not ebays ,they could have put the money into his bank account but no they wouldn't . Leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth .He had been with ebay from the word go too, not the way to treat people it was a simple mistake but ebay were having non of it .

Yours, unfortunately is on par with similar comments by others...It is concerning that there seems to be no constructive communication to remedy in the best interests of their "customers"... By doing what they have done I would question if this was " theft" or "fraud"... no matter the amount. Where is the professional, lawful and fair business practice?

Trust once broken, very rarely can be " renewed"... does eBay not realise this?
