I sold an item that was confirmed delivered tracked 48 two calendar days ago. On the transaction report it states funds are in my balance but they are not. Tried automated customer service but didn't get far as they kept repeating the new policy. Can anyone tell me if they're having the same issues?

Yup. Me. I have confirmed delivery for a few items within Ebay as well-- green tick and everything lol.
But funds are stuck-- won't transfer into Ebay balance. I'm gonna wait until all the 'undelivered' (but actually delivered- because I have buyer feedback!) are supposed to pay out as per 14 day policy, and see if it all transfers into my Ebay balance in one big chunk (one big chunk of a tenner-- LOL).
If it doesn't will have to get onto CS. I really can't be bothered to do this though for the little amount I make selling. Basically I will fi ish my current batch of decluttered stuff and then just leave the listings to gradually expire before migrating them over to Vinted. I'm not willing to wait weeks for tiny amounts of money and I'm also not willing to send everything tracked at my buyer's expense.

I am now having to cancel orders as I am not being paid. I get a different answer every time I go on live chat. Orders show as delivered.Orders show funds available but when I go into the account Ebay Balance is zero.
Order payments total shows. If I filter the results for pending it shows no payments pending.
Customer services only say the payouts have been made which they have not.
On 19/02 I was told that the payout from my 5 Feb' sales were used for postage labels 4 small parcels and a large letter apparently cost over £55 to send !!.
The thing is there seems to be nothing you can do to stop Ebay just keeping your money as apparently they are not a UK company and not covered by UK Trading or consumer Law.

On one of my recent live chat experiences I was told that Orders showing as delivered, Orders showing as delivered and with positive feedback does not provide proof of delivery or that the buyer has accepted the order.
The buyer has to specifically confirm receipt of the order and that they are accepting the order but when I asked how buyers do that the CS person would not reply.
I have asked buyers to check and see if they have any messages asking them for confirmation the way that Vinted works but of the buyers who have responded they say they cannot se anything.
I sent a few low value items £4.50 - £6 by RM48 as well to make sure delivery was confirmed and it's made no difference.
I would think the best option for sellers it the Citizens advice bureaux. If enough sellers report not being paid then Ebay might take notice.

I have not been paid for anything sold in Feb' either.I'm having to cancel orders. I was on live chat yesterday and was told the money from my Feb' sales went on Postage.
Anyway what I've also been told is that tracking showing delivered, orders showing as delivered and buyers leaving positive feedback is not proof that a buyer has accepted the order. On the other hand Ebay CS will not tell me how buyers confirm they accept the order.
On Vinted buyers get sent a message asking them to accept the order when it is delivered but I have asked buyers on Ebay and they tell me there is nothing like that.
My whole experience over the past week is documented on here somewhere.
How did you put a hold on your listings ?. When the live chat ended on 19/02 I found the entire lay out of My Ebay had changed and I cannot make head nor tail of it.I cannot even see all my listing as it no longer fits on the screen of my laptop.I have to keep moving the window around.I was going to switch on holiday mode but cannot find it.

You are a Private seller so you cannot use the Holiday mode but there is an option Time Away to use whereby your items can be hidden up to 30 days, o dispatch lengthened to 15 days.
Personally, I find it easier just to end all items when going away. These then go into your unsold listing for 60 days if you are on the classic view, My eBay or for a maximum of 90 days if you are on the Seller Hub.
You can then relist the items at any time during those periods.
To receive your payouts under the new system, feedback doesn't count, the new system relies on tracking showing delivery, if it does, then the payout will be released 2 days after that delivery date.
With no tracking, the payout is held for 14 days.
At the end of February, items of a value £10 or less will not require tracking, an here, if feedback is left it will release the payout sooner.
If you are a new or returning seller there may be longer holds of 21 days .

When you get to automated customer service ,type in the word human or agent into the box and it should pass you over to a real person

So I just had an interesting conversation with CS. Basically when they 'release funds' for aj order, they than use it to pay for the postage of other orders whose funds haven't been released yet. So... my funds 'released' on 14th Feb were then used to purchase postage labels for future orders, because the funds from those orders were still unreleased due to their 'undelivered' status. So basically, your released funds are being used to pay seller costs on future orders because Ebay refuse to release funds on untracked stuff for 2 weeks.
It makes a convoluted kind of sense- but ultimately they are hoarding monies and paying out weeks later than they should-- and you have no option (soon) because they will force to buy postage labels through them. So your eBay balance, as such, isn't a balance at all. It's like an expenses account and every few weeks, they will pay you any credit you have on that account.
It's a weird way of doing things but makes total sense if they want to use seller monies as liquid capital.
Anyway, my stance stands. After my current batch of listings is done, I will move over to Vinted.

Yep same here…just come off from yet another “chat”…logged another complaint…left bad feedback
this is all way out of order.
like you, items have been delivered..not necessary confirmed by the tracking but by the buyer.
l’ve just done a complaint to Royal Mail as it’s the postie not scanning the item at the buyers address which isn’t helping either. EBay’s tracking is apparently provided by Royal Mail according to one of the chat agents…we’ll see what RM have to say on that one!

Exactly how I feel and am doing!

I had the same issue - I solved it by NOT buying my postage labels on eBay! They say pending funds can be used for postage labels and refunds, so they should take the postage labels out of the funds they are holding for that particular transaction.

I’ll be redrawing all my funds from eBay in the next few minutes..getting ready to close it all down!
22-02-2025 12:06 PM
Trouble is though, it looks like buying postage labels through Ebay is gonna become compulsory soon
22-02-2025 12:10 PM
I will defo go back to my old.methods for my last few listings I.e. NOT buying labels lol 😆
Trust me to start using THEIR system and then get screwed. Should have stuck to the trad system!

But it will be the buyer buying, so it won't come off the seller's balance. (One of the few pluses for SD!)

Aah really! Well, that's actually pretty good!
