World Cup 1998

Might be a slightly obvious question, but I'm nearing the end of completing my mint album and was wondering if it'd be worth shelling out and trying to obtain the Iran/England sticker that aren't numbered?

Re: World Cup 1998

I gave up collecting this set pal due to the cost of completing it but tbh i think it will bug you if you dont finish it. Like everyone else I hate paying extra for hard to get stickers but ive had to do it a few times to stop me going crazy lol

Re: World Cup 1998

Got my Iran stickers from a seller called boggyluka. Only £4.99. Really good reprints, can't tell the difference except the badge ain't shiny. There's always a glitter pen! 😮

Re: World Cup 1998

The badge isn't shiny on the original set, it's white. There are some shiny repro badges on the market but no point really.

I take it the repro Iran set doesn't have the reverses on? Is that the only difference?

Anyway in answer to your question if you are looking at selling a full loose set including Iran it wouldn't sell for much more than without it. If you were looking to sell you could get a lot more splitting them up. If you want them for collecting purposes for me the set isn't complete without them. I wouldn't touch a repro set unless you were just buying them to fill an album, again pointless but that's just my opinion.

Re: World Cup 1998

That's right. The Iran reprints I got where just plain White backs. Had to cut them out myself from an A4 sticky sheet. Quality pictures tho. Didn't know the original badge was'nt shiny. What about the Spain badge? Was that shiny?
