used throw with multiple flaws

I received a throw  through the post, described new. it had multiple flaws and clearly had been used .the seller has refused a return stating it description was accurate .what course can I take

If you are still within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery you are guaranteed a full refund,  under eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy.

Just proceed this way:

You have received an item not as described,  go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.

The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund,  if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you.  If they don't ,  need to escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.

Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early,  and do not forget to escalate.

If a "not as described" return is started within 30 days of delivery sellers cannot refuse it.   It sounds like you used a "change of mind" reason which sellers can refuse.    You could try contacting ebay about it.   It's just possible they will issue a refund without you having to send it back.  You can request a callback on here:

What reason did you use for the return?

The reason that it had multiple visible flows in the stitching and the fact that the surface was covered in bobbles, like second hand knitwear, backed up by 9 photos

When you open an eBay return you have to select a reason from the dropdown list (set out below).

It's not possible to open a return without selecting one, in order to advise you we need to know which one of these reasons you selected:

Changed my mind

No longer needed

Found a better price

Doesn’t fit

Item defective

Missing parts or pieces

Item didn't match description

In that case the seller cannot actually refuse the return even if they say they are.

After 4 days, if the seller has not provided a return label you need to escalate to ebay so that they can step in.
