uncollected items

I've sold two items within the last year on a 'collect only' from home basis that have been paid for but not collected. One buyer communicated briefly to say he was out of town but his daughter would collect but never communicated further, the other simply hasn't made any contact whatsoever despite two prompts. How long should I be expected to hold on to these items before reselling? Thanks...

uncollected items

Well there's no set date but it's reasonable to keep a collection item for 7 days before messaging the buyer if they do not contact you within ** days the item will be deemed unwanted,  the order cancelled and buyer fully refunded.

If 90 days have not lapsed you can still cancel the order and refund those buyers.

Thanks for your response; I'm not sure I go along with it though. These are one off vintage items. If the buyers had contacted within a reasonable time frame with 'I'm sorry but it's not quite right for me' or 'oops I didn't see it was collect only' and asked for a refund I would comply. However I don't see why I, the entirely blameless party should have to try and guess what the problem is and make a refund? Many thanks for your strategy though and I'll bear it in mind.
