unable to add pics to sale when active best offer exists

i have sent a best offer to a buyer, seems like he ignored it, in the mean time i am unable to add any extra pics to the listing.  is this a bug or a feature? does this mean i have to wait till the offer expires before i can add pics?

By sending that offer you cannot now amend anything to that listing until the offer expires, or is declined.

Basically while someone can buy, (accept your offer) nothing can be changed, as another picture   could possibly mean item sells but the additional picture leaves you open to claims of not as described, which can prove expensive for seller.

I do not know how long your offer is valid for, but best to wait, until expired or buyer accepts or declines the offer.

i think atleast i should have the option to retract the offer as some buyers dont care to respond back. the offer will be just sitting in their inbox for days till it expires. and in the mean time the sellers cannot do anything to the booking. i can undertand its not fair to change the listing but i should atleast be able to add extra pics, i would have thougth so?

the best offer is active for 3 days by default (please correct me if i am wrong).

ended up cancelling the listing. added the pics and relisted.

Nope, that could still be open to a mis representation.  Photos play an important part of the description. For example say you had several items in original photos for sale, buyer places offer, then you add extra photos which have removed one or 2 items. Buyer then is buying something not described correctly.  You also leave yourself open there,  for cases of item not as described.

As the offer was not accepted and item not paid for, think it was best to do as you have,  that is,  to end the item and relist with all the necessary photos.
