Think you need to read this https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/fees-credits-invoices/fees-private-sellers?id=4822&st=3&pos=1&qu...
As said you get 300 free listings a month, every relist of an auction counts, in the 300.
Buy it now, counts on first listing, but automatic renewals do not, but as they run for 30 days (in fact I think it is for number of days in the month) would renew automatically only once a month.
At any time looking in Seller Hub Overview it gives number of listings used and number remaining,
so there is no need to ever incur listing fees, but see above “fees” as there are many charged for extras, and when you click to list an item, it does say LIST WITH DISPLAYED FEES, it is up to you to see that there are no fees shown and if there are to investigate .

You get 300 free listings a month.
Once you have used all those, you are charged a fee for each listing - I believe it is 35p.
You have listed at least 500 auction items this month.
Each time you relist an item that has not sold, it is deducted from your 300.
