seller cancelled return for unfit item

i recently bought some brake pads and they simply do not fit.. i need to return them but the seller cancelled the return.  he probably knows there unfit for purpose.can ebay overide his decision ..

If you used the 'does not fit' reason,  then private sellers can refuse the return.

You only get one chance at a return on ebay so that's it.  If the brake pads were not as described you could try your funding source for help.
