I'm being forced to buy something I DID NOT ORDER! I'm livid, been trying to buy a particular item but can't shake this other item that I only viewed and now seems to be locking me into a sale. This is the worst, most infuriating situation Ebay has provided yet, with the buyer not responding in almost a week and I cannot but this worthless item---I want the item I actually bought but was switched to this. I don't care about any half-baked technical explanations, this is NOT what I ordered, and now I can't buy what I want until this mess goes away, but I'm being ignored. I was warned Ebay could be like this but I never imagined I would be treated as if I don't exist and that I'd be conned like this.

It would help people here to help you if you could tell us more about what has happened.
I think you're saying that you only viewed an item, but it was recorded as a sale. But you say that you did still want the item, but it was switched to something else. This doesn't sound like a rip-off by the seller - sellers can't mark items as bought when they were not, or change the item a buyer has bought to something else.
We can't see the listing involved, but It's more likely that there has been a mistake or misunderstanding. It's frustrating that the seller hasn't replied. How did you contact them? Have you sent them a formal cancellation request through eBay? Whatever the problem, the obvious solution wold be for the seller to cancel the sale, and then clarify exactly what you wish to buy from them.
If they don't reply to agree a cancellation all you can do is wait until they open an unaid item case against you. This will involve eBay, and be your opportunity to explain any confusion or wrong doing that you may feel was responsible.

When item arrives, do NOT refuse it.
If it is the wrong item, open item not as described case.
Ignore seller excuses, escalate on day 4 if no return label or refund.

Thank you, Mark. The position is so much more clear when you explain it like that!
The answer becomes simple. As has been said, if the item you receive is not the one you ordered, you can return it for a refund under eBay's money back guarantee. The seller will be required to arrange for the return, or send you a prepaid return label. (If this doesn't cover the weight of the apliance you can contact eBay customer support to have it increased.)
As has also been said, do NOT refuse to accept the delvery!! This would immediately make the sale ineligible for any buyer protection from eBay. It's vital to follow the conditions and time limits for eBay's money back guarantee, see: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/

Also when it arrives simply open the case - please do not discuss it with the seller. There is no need; eBay will deal with it if you follow the steps. Seller should send label. If not then escalate to eBay after 4 days.
