returned and refund . but seller refuse accept .

I bought a laptop from ebay, but it was not the same model as in the listing. Then I used ebay's case system, and the money was refunded. I sent the laptop to the seller using ebay's auto-generated label. Royal Mail indicated that the receipt was refused, and the item was returned to the sender. I still haven't received the laptop. I tried many ways to contact Royal Mail to chase up this item but Royal Mail can't locate it because it was returned to the sender, like normal second class, and tracking has been disabled.  What should I do now ?

If the money was refunded Before the seller received their item back,  this usually indicates the seller does not want their item returned,  which is strange in this case as it involves a laptop, but you say the recipient  'refused the item'.  ?  Most odd.

However,  you have the refund, you may receive the laptop in due course,  if you do and the seller does want it back,  then they need to send you a tracked return postage for its return.  This will need to be done outside of eBay as that case closed with the refund.

Once a buyer has been refunded eBay has no further interest. It quite often happens that for one reason or another - usually postal delays - a buyer ends up with both the item and the refund.

eBay won't get involved - even in cases where the buyer was refunded for non-delivery and then kept the item as well when it arrived.

If your seller decides they want the item back (and asks you nicely!) you can offer to return it if they first send you the cost of delivery.
