Every time I sell an item on Ebay I struggle to get my funds released - I provide tracking numbers but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I just get fobbed off with endless excuses why they can't release the funds. Surely this is fraud on a grand scale. Is there anyone I can report them to. Why sell on Ebay when you can never get paid. I am out of pocket as I have paid for packing materials and postage with nothing to show for it. Fed up with the constant aggro from Ebay - considering whether I want to keep selling on Ebay. Everything was fine until they introduced this ridiculous system where you can't get paid until the item is delivered and even then they make you wait god knows how many days before they release the funds. Their customer support is absolutely useless

You say you provide tracking?

You do not say you ADD TRACKING when marking as despatched, as that is what ebay base delivery on.

Ebay does now routinely hold payments until items are delivered.

You can check all the details by putting 'getting' paid into help & contact but the basics are below.

If you have any specific items where these rules have not been followed, contact Ebay Customer Services and ask them to look at those specific cases.  Personally, I have found the system has worked properly.  So, items sent with tracking, my funds have been released 48 hours after tracking on Ebay shows delivery, for some lower cost items, I have had to wait the full 14 days.

Items sent by post

• Tracked: Funds will typically be available 2 calendar days after we receive confirmation from the tracked service that delivery to the buyer or pick-up location was successful. For example, if your order is delivered on Wednesday, you’ll get your funds on Friday
  • For tracked orders with a subtotal (excluding postage, fees, taxes) of £750 or less, funds will be available instantly if positive feedback is received from the buyer after delivery confirmation
  • For orders sent with Simple Delivery and dispatched within 3 calendar days, funds will be available 8 calendar days from the order date or 2 calendar days after we receive delivery confirmation, whichever comes first
• Untracked, or tracked with missing delivery confirmation: Funds will be available 14 calendar days from the order date
  • For untracked orders with a subtotal (excluding postage, fees, taxes) of £10 or less, funds will be available instantly if positive feedback is received from the buyer
