I sold a dress in January £8 with £3.75 postage ,the buyer opened an item damaged case against me and ebay said I had until 25 th feb to refund ,but just now i have just had a message from ebay to say they taken £15 from my card  ,where do they get  £15 from ? Absolute rip off

Have you had the dress back?

That charge looks correct.

11.75 for dress and postage plus 3.25 which is Ebay's standard charge for a label when a buyer returns a faulty item.

yes I have had the dress back but the buyer washed it after wearing it ,it was brandnew never been worn still had the tags on it ,and the buyer told me she had washed the dress and when I received it back the dress has suffered damage because of the wash ,but ebay have refunded the buyer and I have a dress that I can no longer claim is new because of the visible damage ,and I sent the dress in a box to keep it flat and the buyer sent dress in a small grey mailing bag screwed up ,so what happened to ebays returns policies protecting sellers . Ebay say they can't determine that the damage was done by the buyer ,but why did she need to wash it ?.

There is virtually NO SELLER PROTECTION, and because ebay had to refund, you will have a defect on your selling account.

 ebay told me I had until 25th to refund the buyer it is only 22nd now . I like many others am not going to stay with ebay they have messed so much up and made sales poor and I am too stressed to worry about how i am going to pay my bills when I have to wait for ebay to think about releasing my  money when their tracking system isn't working properly despite royal mail tracking saying item delivered but ebay say the item hasn't even been dispatched and this has been the same for months ,not just recently .
