refund not credited to new card

I have been issued with a refund to my original credit card which had been cancelled, although I updated my new card details no refund has been credited to my account,I have spent ages with the online assistant with no joy

Adding new details can take a few days to verify and be confirmed.

Refunds going to a credit card can take up to 30 days to appear there,  you may be checking a little too soon?

It might pay to speak to your credit card company to see what the procedure is when they receive money for a card that no longer exists.
