" Auction Duration" says If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times??BUT IT DOESN'T,ONLY 7 DAYS

I have listed new items and under the Auction Duration box it says " If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times" but it only lasts 7 days!!!!!!!!."

If I list a sell similar item I get "  If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times" again 7 days!!!!!!!!.

If I Schedule a time for a listing I get " If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times" but under the time selected it says the auction will end in 7 days!!!!!!!!!.

I have tried all ways to list items and the same thing happens  "If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times" disappears every time becoming 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If I look at MANAGE DRAFTS- ALL THE DRAFT LISTINGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED FROM  "If your item does not sell we'll relist 8 times" to 7 DAYS.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE WEBSITE ???????? I HAVE NEVER HAD THESE PROBLEMS IN 15 YEARS.

I would appreciate an answer from eBay, are they trying to discourage private sellers?( Having to relist every 7 days is a waste of my time. I could be listing new items instead). If they don't want private sellers, I wont waste anymore of my time trying to sell here, after 16 years with 100% feedback or is this a technical issue that can be sorted???? I have photos of the problem.

I would really appreciate an answer

There is nothing wrong with the website ,  there is no problem,  just when Simple Delivery arrived for Private sellers,  auto relists for auctions stopped unless you were a new or infrequent seller.

Once an auction ends,  then you do have to manually relist the item.  Be aware too, each manual relist counts towards your monthly free 300 listings.  Go over that 300 allowance,  and each listing costs 35p .

I've had a look at your lovely items,  and most have a ' ceiling level' for a price.  List those in a Buy it Now price format,  then if it ends unsold after 30 days,  it will automatically relist,  and does not count towards your monthly free listing allowance.
