postage / pick up of bought item

hi everyone help please.

the buyer has bought my item (buy it now and ebay has taken the money plus the postage cost)

buyer now wants to pick up the item insted . how do I change to item pick up and buyer gets code etc for pick up. obviously i will refund the postage costs.  thanks

Only way I can see would be to cancel, using reason buyer's request, and relist as a collection item.

Explain to buyer why you are doing this so that he gets a code, as it is not possible to change to a collection item.

As you say you could just refund postage, and mark as dispatched, but it would not give the protection given by the code which proves delivery. This would be the simple way, but it is up to you if you are prepared to take a small risk.

You can't do any of that and having a buyer collect an item with no collection code is risky.

The best way forward is to cancel this sale and relist as a BIN with postage and the buyer buys again.
