buyer problems 

the buyer came to collect item and he did not have the collection code with him and as he travelled a long way to pick up item he said he would message me when he gets home.

I waited for the code and nothing arrived so I sent him message after message and got no reply.

How do I go from here and will I get paid from ebay.

I have tried the chat on ebay and got nowhere.

You will get paid eventually but your bigger problem is that you have no defence against a claim that the buyer did not receive their item.  The only evidence ebay now accepts is the collection code which is why no seller should release a collection item unless they are given that code.

Did your buyer claim to travel a long way without their mobile phone?
