Why does this site allow companies to advertise goods that are from London (in my case), then you wait forever for the delivery, and you find out that they are dispatched from China? I'm sure it's a law for misrepresentation, or maybe is a money-making scheme for this site, that leaves the buyer to wait forever.. other words...careless

Many sellers in China have a distribution base in the UK, which allows them to list items as UK stock.
If an item is misrepresented as being located in the UK, but is actually send from China, this is reportable to eBay using the reporting link provided in every listing (far right, opposite Postage and Payments).
Report Category: Select 'listing practices'.
Reason for Report: Select 'other listing practices policy violations'
Detailed Reason: select 'Item location misrepresentation'
It's important to know whether the seller is in China as if so, regardless of where the item was located, there is a risk that items may not comply with UK safety standards. Plus, you're unlikely to have any meaningful UK statutory consumer protection.
Be aware that if the item location is in the UK, you do not have to return it to China in the event of a return or eBay money back guarantee case. The seller is required tp provide a UK address for the return. If it was stated to be located in China the seller can require it to be returned to China.

Many Chinese / Far Eastern sellers use a forwarding company in the UK so that their dispatch is faster. The location on listings, actually shows the items location stating the postage / delivery times, this is all above board.
However, if the listing is showing a UK location, then arrives after weeks not days, and with a Chinese stamp, then that is country misrepresentation and can be reported.
The best way to check if the seller is Chinese, is to click on the feedback section bringing you to their feedback profile, and that will tell you the seller's country of registration. If it states China, then you can decide whether to buy or not.

If location is given as UK but posted from China, then delivery will be late. Late delivery allows A return for not as described, so seller would have to provide a tracked label to return to UK address and also refund.
This would prove expensive for seller if all buyers did this when location is abused.
