fraudulent ebay emails???

Not applicable

hi there

i received two emails from EBAY saying that I have sold an item. With address etc of the buyer...and a second email from ebay saying I needed to update my payment details as otherwise I wont receive the payment. So I am checking and checking and checking and I cannot find the order or even my post where I am selling it. And my account details are not missing, so I have no idea how to check what this? IS it ebay emailing me or is it a hacker?

You can check out the email using/sending to the ebay spoof option in this link Recognising phishing phone calls and emails | eBay

If you have any genuine sales, they will appear in 'orders' stating Sold, send now.

You don't get the buyer's address from an email - you will only find the correct address in 'order details' when you are logged into Ebay.

On a side note, with this in your profile:

you really need to upgrade to a business account.
