expain 'collection' option

Hi, i'm new to selling here. If you wat to sell a big item like furniture, does choosing the 'collection' option mean the buyer must come to your door themself, and if not, can they use a courier company (and pay for that themselves, oviously)

Also, is there no longer a delivery option which applies to something (like furniture) not in a package? If so, how to access it?

Help!

Re: expain 'collection' option

Collection normally means buyer collects.   If they send a courier you have the problem of getting the collection code from them before you release the item to the courier and it's supposed to be given at the same time the buyer takes the item so neither of you are at a disadvantage.

See "Proof of collection" on here:

You can have a deilvery option but if your item is bigger than 30kg and 120cm x 80cm x 80cm that would be  outside of eBay's Simple Delivery so you'd opt out of SD and arrange that yourself.
