I have sold items, my courier requires an email and contact number so i can post the items
this is to secure the delivery at the highest level
so why would ebay let me sell yet restrict the most crucial information in order to send the item they paid for !??? i cant even get in touch with ebay to sort this, its ridiculous.

It isn't up to eBay to divulge members' contact details to couriers. It's between the buyer and the seller.
Some buyers are worried about giving this information, but sellers can remind them that it's to help the courier let them know when to expect the delivery, or report any delays.
Buyers need to remember that if there's no-one home to accept a delivery the courier is entitled to record that delivery was attempted. eBay treats this as being successfully delivered - even though it wasn't! The buyer will not be able to win a refund through eBay if they don't receive their item. This sounds to me like a convincing argument for buyers to cooperate with the courier!

If the buyer has paid, their phone number will be underneath their address in order details.
You can ring or text them to ask for their email address for the courier.
