eBay refund buyers postage

A buyer bought a new watch from us, then wanted to return it, saying he bought it in error, even though he had emailed me a few times and asked for a discount and price on next day delivery, which was £5.00, obviously we have a full refund policy for whatever reason, but eBay refunded the delivery postage too, I can understand that if there was a problem with the watch or it was damaged, but this was just he changed his mind, I've traded on here for over 20yrs and this is the last straw, it's hard enough now to make a profit with the fees they charge, how is this even right, I'm done with eBay, as soon as the listings end, I won't be relisting!

It's a legal requirement that the outward delivery cost is refunded on a change of mind return.
