eBay holding funds for an item collected in person and paid for 5 days ago

Funds from an oak bench inspected and collected in person by a happy customer 5 days ago and paid for prior to that is still being withheld by eBay without justification. QR code scanned and verified on collection. It wasn’t a high value transaction- a couple of hundred. I am a seller with a blemish less record for 6 years. No complains or disputes. 100% positive feedback. Seller limit lifted and a clean history since day one. All keep changing their tune and cannot give a consistent answer. I’ve been promised the funds for days and now told they will hold onto for 30 days without justification. What can I do? Seemingly noting. They don’t know don’t care and give me a different story every time I talk to an agent - 4 now. No resolution.

Having taken a break from ebay, your classed as a new returning seller, and ebay can hold payments for new sellers for upto 30 days.

Why? What’s the logic behind that? It’s just an excuse to hold onto other peoples money. It’s been collected in person what’s the explanation for withholding money?

It's like a security process for seller and buyer in case of disputes etc.

It won't last for ever just until you establish yourself again
