It's the buyer protection fee.

Ebay need to make this clearer.
If seller makes an offer, BPF is added on so buyer sees total.
If buyer makes an offer, it includes BPF, so seller gets less.
It is explained in offer, but as said not clearly.

When you are advised of best offer it does tell you exactly what you will receive, why didn’t you read it and if you wanted more just reject the offer.
If you accept the lower amount then that is what you get.

I did read it, and I understood perfectly.
My question was why was this sum deducted from the buyer's original offer?
Other items I have sold on best offer, smaller amounts, did not have anything deducted?
That was my original query, thanks

Thank you for your reply.
I just can't understand why some B.Os. get it taken off, and not others.
For instance, 20.00 item sold on BO. was credited to my with the full amount. Nothing deducted.
I am sure there is an explanation it is just so unclear. I did actually contact Ebay for an explanation and I just got a message saying it is paid by the buyer. Little wonder I'm confused.
