charged multiple times for selling fee

wow, at every turn selling my car on ebay I have been confronted with scammers, liars and people who have come to damage the vehicle. And now I find that when someone pretends to buy the car, the only way I can relist the car is to get charged the full listing amount again, EVEN THOUGH my original listing had days of fee left to run. Is this right? I'm stunned and getting a bill for four x listing over one week

Yep, it's unfortunate that you will get buyers  for whatever reason bid , win and never pay.

Listing fees are non refundable, payable sale or no sale, and charged each time you relist a vehicle.  It's the same if you listed the vehicle in your local paper,  the paper would not refund you your advertising fee if the car didn't sell, and charge you again for any relisting.

Most would agree to list any vehicle,  it's best to use the Classified ad,  a little more expensive, and again a listing fee, not refundable,  charged each time used,  but with many benefits,  see here...

More importantly, I hope that you cancelled the sales when the buyers didn't pay, or else you will get a bill for four x final value fees.

Just in case you haven't done this yet, the cancellation procedure to use when a buyer hasn't paid after four days is explained here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/payment-policies/unpaid-item-policy?id=4271

This will immediately cancel the sale. Neither party can leave feedback; any already left can be removed. The buyer will receive an unpaid item strike for not paying, which will stay on their account for a year. Two strikes mean that most sellers will automatically block them from bidding.

To add non-payers to your blocked bidders list and prevent them from sending you messages, see: https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

Should you relist, consider >

Classified Ads. at total fee of £19. 99 allows the exchange of contact details for viewing and price negotiation over a 30 day period --- set the Start price at or near the price that you would find acceptable --- Avoid inviting/accepting Offers which will halt the listing and the deal may never be completed --- just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a  Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer viewing /collection. No additional FVF selling fee is charged. --- Do not accept PayPal payment.

You have 3 live listings for the same car.

You need to delete 2 before someone buys them.

You will still pay listing fees for them,

as said, classified ad is best.
