changing to a business account

i have been with ebay years now i want to change to a business account and get the basic shop 

my question is if i list an item but there are 30 of that item available is that 1 item listed or 30 off my limit

It will count as 1 item.

You can upgrade to business account, but don't have to have a shop if you don't want to.

Even private sellers can have an ebay shop, although I don't see why.
