account suspension

i have had my account suspended for listing a " TRIPOD "
This exact same thing happened a few months ago
i am selling a tripod for a low powered air gun which i put photos on listing

the advert states it is a tripod and not for a weapon of any kind

exactly the same happened a few months back and i requested review and received an apology and listing was reinstated

i have been a seller for over 10 years now and find this is appalling as there are lots of sellers who have listings live which clearly show assault rifles and high powered hunting rifles yet they are " STILL ALLOWED "

Please tell me why i am being picked out here

thank you

Your item has probably been reported. There is a link on every listing page for members to do that.

If there are other live listings then either they have not yet been reported or are in a country where it is allowed.

If you mention guns in any of the listing then that could be picked up by ebay.

If your item is an accessory then that may be the problem. Or it you put the picture of a gun with the item

See the link and see if you can see why

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/firearms-weapons-knives-policy?id=4...

Just to add.

If you account was suspended then that would be because you relisted the same item.

What did it say ?. If it gave a date to when you are suspended then you may be allowed back on but if it says permanent then that is usually forever

If you included the air gun in the photos it was sure to be reported and removed. When selling permitted accessories it is not allowed to include the gun in the picture.

Weapons and firearms seem to be among the few categories in which eBay reacts quickly to reports. In fact, although they don't say so, I suspect that eBay may also use robotic scanning. They would not want the publicity that would result if a prohibited weapon was bought on eBay and used in a crime. Even in the US, where the same rules don't apply, eBay was embarrassed when a large capacity magazine bought on eBay was used in a mass shooting.

Don't risk another suspension, which could be permanent next time.
