Yet another Simple Delivery Query

So, first time as a seller with the new Simple Delivery Query.  I always offer a lower amount of postage than it costs me.  My listing stated postage of £2.99.  Buyer has just paid but I don't know how much they paid for postage.  If it was more than the £2.99 I listed (which it would have been) - how is the difference paid?  Does ebay deduct the difference from my final payment?  Anyone know please?

ebay are changing any non-SD listings over so they will impose the postage depending on the weight of the parcel.

With SD ebay set the postage price and buyer pays them.

So, is there any point in putting a postage cost on the listing, or will that option disappear when Simple Delivery comes fully on board?
