I was selling 2 similar items at the same time. One sold, the buyer paid and was in communication with me about collecting the item. After they initially failed to turn up, more conversations were had and a courier turned up to collect the item. I asked the buyer for the collection code a few days later and left feedback, marked as completed-all good so I thought.
The buyer of the other item had messaged and asked for my phone number and address to arrange collection but then I never heard anything at all and they still had not paid for the item.
A few days after the courier had collected the item, I receive a text message to say they had received the wrong item. Feeling very confused but thought OK, if I have made a mistake then I am happy to swap the items over. The text came from the buyer who had not informed me that a courier would be coming to collect the item. To make matters worst, the buyer is claiming that the driver paid me cash when they collected the item. This is 100% not the case and I can prove it. The buyer is saying they will bring the item back but only after I send them the proof that no cash was handed over, but after the buyer has tried to intimidate me, I really don't trust them and feel like they are trying to scam me. I have reported it to eBay, but had no reply after a week.
After all of this, the first buyer, who has paid for their item, has finally messaged to ask when they can collect their item!
Its all such a mess and I want to get the paid for item back so it can go to the right buyer but I also cannot afford to be out of pocket and just walk away from the intimidating buyer. I don't know what to do and eBay are being very unhelpful currently.
