Won a bid but seller won’t reply to my messages

Based in the uk, won a bid for a tool but the seller has decided he doesn’t ship to the uk (from the US)and therefore I can’t pay for the item. I’m guessing that he wasn’t happy with the price at which I won ad now he wont  reply to a single message I’ve sent even though he’s offered me a discounted price for the item I originally won! He has also added more items to his shop and declined my order cancel request so he can clearly see I’ve messaged him, any ideas? Thanks!

You cannot make a seller send an item, it's bad selling,  but here , this may not be the case.

Rules for tools / bladed items have changed recently,  this may just be a tool which is not longer allowed to be sent overseas , or  falls in one of eBay's new rulings.

Yes, I agree the seller should reply to your messages, but it's not mandatory to do so.  You may have to look elsewhere to buy this item.

I’m not trying to make him sell me the itemI don’t care if he doesn’t, it’s not about that; it’s the fact that because he didn’t like the fact that the tool (which I should mention is just a ratchet uses for undoing fasteners, no sharps involved) was won at a lower price than he would have liked, so is now ignoring me about  delivery solutions but still remaining active and re-listing said item and not accepting my order cancellation request.

Based on his review I’m not the first person this has happened to either but overall has good reviews so gave the benefit of the doubt.

Apologies,  from your first post it wasn't clear that you didn't mind not receiving the item,  it looked like you did.

However,  if they cancel the sale, it depends on the reason given for cancellation if they state ' Buyer requests to cancel'  you can contact eBay Customer Services refute this,  that it's not true, and they will place a damaging defect on their  account.  If they claim ' Out of stock' this places that defect on their account.

If you wish to,   this is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
