Will ebay have a custom postage option for small parcels uptp 1kg soon

Will ebay introduce small parcels to the custom postage option as I use stamps at the local post office

There is no hint that option is on its way, but keep an eye on the tab top left of this page eBay News >>  Announcements or the Announcement link at the bottom of your homepage, changes seem to be happening regularly with Simple Delivery.

I would think if it was introduced eBay would send you an eBay message too.

I think that would be against the terms of their  contract with Royal Mail.

It wont happen, as you cannot use stamps on trackable services with RM (except Special Delivery). RM 24/48 services are subject to VAT at 20%. Other services, which allow you to use stamps are exempt.

Ebay want users (apart from to line their own pocket) to use trackable services as it supposedly gives the customer more confidence in an item arriving with them.

The reality is, ebay make money on the OBM agreement with RM, and it makes matters easier for the bots to adjudicate INR's etc.
