Why shopping on eBay will cost you twice the amount as the high street?

I'm a DIY business seller I sell hardware and fixing let me give you an example I buy a box of screws from my suppliers for £0.98 3.5 x 30 incl vat postage 2.69 yodle so we are at £4.69 Now it is time for the vamper to suck the blood out your business aka eBay we have

Per order, a fixed amount fee of £0.30
Regulatory operating fee £0.04
now to get the final value fee of 11.90%
if I sell them at £6.69 eBay will take 0.86 in final value fees total paid to eBay £1.44 now if i sold them for 6.69 i make £1.60 profit but it never that easy well it was a few years ago

but then some smart ass *bleep* come up with an idea let change seller even more money by letting them promo their listing now i did a b testing like some other sellers on here the outcome of the result are you have to pay to play now if you don't promo you be lucky to get a sale stander add rate is around 10% now if i promo at 10% that's another ad fee £0.80

ebays cut is £2.24
my profit £0.64

The same screws are for sale in tool station £2.59 or in our store for £1.99
so if you have a few screws loose pop over to my eBay store and pay 2.5 x more than the high street this is why eBay is dead its too expensive to shop on here now

Can I suggest you post again on the main business seller discussion board?
