What should i do here? Seller acting abusive towards my returns request

I recently purchased a job lot of 7" vinyls buy making the seller an offer which was accepted.

Having received the lot, i wasnt happy with the condition or the description - dont think it was accurately described at all.

So, i messaged the seller politely to ask for a partial refund or ideally to return, they offered an amount back that wasnt agreeable to I asked just to return it straight away, and then was met with this message!

"I listed these as unchecked read the listing. Unchecked and untested and yes they are all soul and reggae so im presuming your buying up joblots going though them and sending the ones your not happy with back. Theee were all pictured you have wasted my time and money for what exactly. Absolutely disgusting. I will now purchase from you from my multiple accounts and hit you 5 times harder financially because no one is taking me for ride. Got it put in a request for return and ill be watching every listing of from now on. You bet on that"

I'm a bit taken aback as to what to do here tbh, def feels threatening and abusive and considering the seller has a high number and 100 pos feedback, just really odd.

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Why ever did you contact seller, just open a not as described case, seller has to supply a reply paid tracked label and on return refund in full.

Remember that feedback if left should reflect how transaction progressed and sellers attitude to selling.

Partial refunds may sound a good idea but are unenforceable, and sellers play for time ti get you over the 30 days.

Adding to the great advice from @john1297576  if you sell add the buyer to your blocked list, Blocked Bidders

also report that message to ebay by clicking on the 3 dots on the top left of the message.

Did you open a formal eBay case ? ---

You have 30 days from delivery to open an official  'Item not as described'  case below --- follow the instructions carefully and escalate to eBay on day 4 for their assistance in obtaining a refund >

Thanks for everyones advice. Would it be wise to mention in the return "anything else to share" regarding the sellers message - copy that into it?

I'd be phoning eBay and asking them to read that part of the message just so they can keep an eye out.

This is also why it's a bad idea to buy and sell on the same account. You can have more than one eBay account - open another for selling.
