So one person has bought 5 auctions from me, he want's the combined postage that I always willingly give, but I cannot send him the invoice for some reason, and he doesn't have enough funds to pay for individual postage on each and then have me refund him, so now wants to cancel.
None of my sales can I send an invoice, whereas I could before, apart from..... sales overseas..... I have never send overseas unless it is via the eBay Global Shipping Programme, now all of a sudden buyers are able to bypass the eBay GSP, I have changed no settings, so no idea why suddenly eBay is allowing people overseas to buy from me outside of the eBay GSP.
Also, another buyer has paid for the lots he bought with individual postage, I have refunded him the extra postage paid, and the refunds have been taken from my available balance, not the actual funds that are on hold until proof of delivery.
I am not using simple delivery at the moment, so it can't be that causing me issues, unless of course eBay have already started messing around with settings.
I hate to be all doom and gloom, because generally that isn't me, but I really do feel that eBay is about to become a thoroughly miserable experience for a lot of people.

Yep, you have encountered a ' technical issue' which others have faced for many weeks now.
Combining postage is not currently possible. Whether this is a permanent thing, no one knows, but we are told eBay are working on the issue, they've been working on it for a very long time!
The only workaround if the buyer has already bought and paid for all the items, is to make a partial refund for the excess if still wishing to post the items together.
Sellers are also making this note on their listings, asking buyers if they wish to buy multiple items, to contact them first, so the items can be relisted altogether as one listing, thus affording one postage cost.
Not an ideal situation I agree.

I suspect that the inability to send combined invoices is something to do with the 75p buyers fee per item, and ebay have no intention of restoring combined invoices.
