“We couldn't process this payment

We let the buyer know and asked them to update their payment method before time expires.”

This message is attached to a pending payment… in fact it’s attached to two.
I have never had this before when accepting offers but I’ve had 2 of these in 24 hours for the same item by different sellers. 
I was fine with the first one … these things happen but is two a coincidence? 
Could anyone shed any light for me?

We have no access to your transactions, so need as much information as possible to guess at the problem.

What is the item?

Is buyer in the UK? If outside the UK could be a prohibited item.

Amount to be paid including postage ?

If it is the battery, that might be difficult to ship/post.

It’s a dewalt battery and it’s UK only.
Buyer 1 made me an offer and I accepted. The item went into ‘pending’ with the message attached.
Buyer 2 made me an offer on the same item the next day. I accepted and the item went into ‘pending’ with the same message.
I don’t believe it to be an issue for me but with all the changes going on at the moment, I was wondering if it was coincidental as it’s never happened in the 20 years I’ve been doing eBay.
