Wanted Items ??

For how long has it been possible to list for wanted items on ebay ?

eBay don't allow 'wanted' ads.

There is no option for this not on eBay UK.

Or have I missed an important addition ? 🤔

Wanted ads are not allowed. 

You can report listing to ebay.

Wanted option disappeared from eBay UK many years ago --- can't remember when but must be more than 10 years ago ?? --- Anyone ? ...

Typical response from ebay, but 1 of reportable options is "Want ads not allowed"

So it proves they are not allowed.

Well I never, I added your item into search it does bring up an item with wanted wanted in the title?  That's a little odd, and that seller only has that one item  for sale?

May I ask how and where did you add this request?

cannot remember tbh, took ages to find where to report it

Shame as it was something that ended over 10 + years ago and no one  can confirm it has been introduced,  but I know a ' man' who knows!

I'll tag our Community managers to confirm if this is still possible, shame you have forgotten how you managed to do this,  but the managers will confirm the process for us.

eBay got it wrong, it's quite difficult for a bot to work out that's not an actual item for sale.

Wanted ads can't be set up on eBay - that's why there's no category for them and that seller has listed a non-existent item in the Electronics>Radio Communication Equipment>Ham>Amateur Radio>Ham Radio Amplifiers category, thinking that this will be a workaround. 

There are ads like this on Depop all the time, daft sellers setting up a listing with a  £1,000 price so that nobody buys the item the seller is actually seeking!
