Updating account with ni number

Hi I've sold  sold 4 of my used dji drones, totalling £2000, i don't have any more items to sell and I'm not planning to, but I've got a red banner on my selling page saying to update my account with my national insurance number, what do i do? Do i have to pay tax on these sales?

If you're just selling off your own personal items there'll be no tax to pay. If you buy items to re-sell there may be.

As regards the national insurance number, if you don't give it to eBay you won't be able to list anything again.

Your last sale was 21st August.

If you have not received that payment, Ebay may hold your funds until you uodate your account with your NI number.

Ebay will forward details of your sales to HMRC whether or not you provide your NI number.
